Biography

Maria Lee has dedicated her life to horses, teaching, and self-improvement in many forms over the years. After training horses and managing facilities in the horse competition and breeding industry for over 20 years and teaching riders of all disciplines, Maria found that her passion is helping horses and humans find harmony with themselves and each other.

For Maria, Natural Horsemanship is a way of teaching horses to be partners, teaching humans how to be with horses in a way that is natural and harmonious, as well as a means of faciltating self-improvement. The connection between those three benefits of Natural Horsemanship lead Maria to found a 501(c)3 Public Charity called Equestrian Arts Foundation.

In 2002, Maria became a student of the Parelli Natural Horsemanship program where she found great success with her training horses and her own continued education for over 9 years. Then in 2010, she made a commitment to become a Certified Parelli Professional. Maria recently completed six months as a resident student on the Parelli University campus where she graduated and is now beginning her journey as a Parelli Professional.

At this time, Maria is endorsed by Parelli to teach On Line™ lessons as a one star (1*) Junior Trainee Instructor. Her plans are to return to Parelli University to increase her certifications and training as time and resources allow. In addition, she continues to offer Horsemanship Instruction and Horse Development services as she has done for 20+ years. Maria is very thankful for the knowledge and experiences that she has gained by studying Parelli Natural Horsemsnahip for almost a decade. Parelli principles and values are an inseparable part of her and what she offers every student.

Most recently, Maria has rekindled her interest in dressage and is actively studying French Classical and Natural Dressage.  They are a perfect segue into artistic expression and purpose coming from a foundation that only Parelli can provide.  Maria plans to start accepting dressage students some time this coming year.
